What is Profender for cats?

Profender is a spot-on solution for cats that treats and controls intestinal parasites. Cats will often be distressed when forced to swallow a tablet, so a topical alternative to traditional worming pills can make your cat’s health care a more stress-free experience.

When applied as directed, Profender will protect your cat against hookworm (Ancylostomatubaeforme), roundworm (Toxocara Cati) and tapeworm (Dipylidium caninum, Taenia tainaeformis) infections.

Benefits

  • Long lasting – protects your pet for 3 months
  • Effective against multiple parasite life stages
  • Treats multiple worms with a single dose
  • Topical treatment for easy administration

Is Profender suitable for my cat?

Profender topical solution may be used on cats and kittens from as young as 8 weeks of age, weighing at least 2.2 pounds (1 kg). Profender for Cats should not be used on other animals.

How effective is Profender (Emodepside, Praziquantel)?

Shampooing or immersion of the animal in water directly after treatment may reduce the efficacy of the product. Treated animals, therefore, should not be bathed until the solution has dried.

Parasite resistance to any particular class of anthelmintic may develop following frequent, repeated use of an anthelmintic of that class.
