Activyl vs Revolution

Compare Activyl Spot-On to Revolution Spot-On

When it comes to controlling flea infestations, topical treatments are an effective option. Often these flea treatments will also protect your pet against other parasites, but it is important to know the pros and cons before deciding if this is right for your dog or cat.

Activyl and Revolution provide month-long overage against fleas. They work by killing adult fleas on contact, before they bite, thus helping to break the breeding cycle. Activyl provides an extra layer of protection by killing flea eggs and flea larvae.

Revolution is more of a broad-spectrum parasite treatment. It kills ticks, prevents heartworm and helps to control chewing lice infestations and sarcoptic mange.

These spot-on treatments are both available in both dog and cat formulas. Activyl may be used on dogs and cats from 8 weeks of age. Revolution is recommended for use in dogs for at least 6 weeks of age, and cats at least 8 weeks of age.
